Cyclone Nargis has already taken the lives of several hundred thousand Burmese. Exact number of death caused by cyclone will never be known to all of us, as Burmese Junta seems to be busy counting the lost of livestock, with very impressive statistics of dead Chicken, Ducks and Cows, revealed to the shocked local and international media during a press conference.

While estimated two to two and a half million survivors of cyclone desperately hang on their lives, Military Junta of Burma, and International community were at loggerhead, unable to get an agreement how to save the lives for those who were in immediate danger.

Cyclone Nargis has revealed the real nature of who is who, for the sake of Burmese people.

War Crime Tribunal for Charles Taylor of Liberia, Crimes against Humanity.

charles-taylor.jpg

Once he was a president now is a Criminal !

Excerpt from CNN

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (CNN) — Former Liberian President Charles Taylor appeared in court Monday at the resumption of his war crimes trial, six months after boycotting the opening session and calling the trial a “charade.”

He did not speak.

The first witness Monday was Canadian author Ian Smillie, who is considered an expert in the trade of blood diamonds, so called because funds from their sale fuel African rebel groups. He was testifying for the prosecution, explaining how the trade in ‘blood diamonds’ exacerbated the conflict.

Taylor, who was president of Liberia from 1997 to 2003, is charged with five counts of crimes against humanity, including murder, sexual slavery and violence, and enslavement. He also faces five counts of war crimes, including acts of terrorism and torture, and one count of other serious violations of international humanitarian law.

Taylor is accused of fueling a bloody civil war in Sierra Leone that led to widespread murder, rape, and mutilation. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The war, which involved riches from the diamond trade, was fought largely by teenagers who were forced to kill, given addictive drugs to provoke violent behavior, and often instructed to rape and plunder.

Predator, futuristic drone of US’s War on Terror

This blogger has seen “the drones” in Discovery Channel. Initially this blogger thought of the drones a little more than radio controlled toys. However, this blogger was impressed by the Drone’s multi functional ability as a lethal force of the War.The drones are the new, state of the art, invention of the US Armed Forces. Lets read about the drone names Predator, as follows..

predator_01_s.jpg

The Predator is the U.S. military’s most sophisticated killing machine in the war on terror.”This is the way of the future,” Songer said. “Just the ability from the other side of the world to locate and destroy enemy targets is incredible, unbelievable — to be able to do this from Vegas and destroy high value targets .”

The flexible war machine

predator.jpg

It was an eerie feeling on that airstrip at Kandahar Air Field in southern Afghanistan. The plane was a long way off and out of eyesight, as it typically is on such missions. In essence, it’s a silent killer.

If it’s below 15,000 feet, you might hear the drone of the engine. But it’s virtually impossible to see at that altitude. It’s also difficult to detect by radar and very difficult for an enemy plane to shoot down. In Afghanistan, there are no enemy planes to worry about, so the Predator’s spying goes unchallenged.

CNN was given rare access to the highly classified planes, which are operated by the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force, as well as the CIA. Each plane is worth about $4 million and armed with two powerful Hellfire missiles.

The Blogger’s thought

This blogger has not written any posts in the last few days. I have read my previous posts and analysed what I have been doing in last two months. The blogger reviewed my own posts. Some of my posts are even not satisfactory in my own opinion.

Up to date this blog was hit by 16831 readers. I have posted 129 posts from 29.09.2007 until today.I have receieved120 comments from the readers.

Why am I telling you this.? All the sane human being always look back what you have done in your life. Listen to the suggestion and advice of those who are sincere to you. Then with sincerity, and truthfulness proceed your life.

Why am I writing these blogs.? I just want the truth and freedom for the Burmese people.

Moral corruption is the worse enemy of the Burmese people. If Burma is liberated today, we need to work very hard to rectify the moral decay of our people for several years or even may be decades. This moral corruption among Burmese were started by Ex Dictator Ne Win. He has transformed the very normal society into the most corrupt society in a few decades.

Current Burmese society is the society in which big fish eat the small fish, small fish eat the shrimp, and the ordinary Burmese people are, not even the normal shrimp, they are reduced to the shrimp paste due to the continuous oppression of the Military Governments of Burma.

Subsequent successors Generals, while portraying as very religious people by showing up in the Monasteries almost every day, they have been putting enormous amount of money into their pockets by the corrupt practice.

The latest statistics showed of last year Burmese export as over five billion USD. Just imagine how many billions or millions were illegally taken by the Junta of Burma, its family members and their cronies.

The blogger feel sorry for those pro junta bolggers writing all nonsense in this blogosphere. They were trying to get a bite of the bone, which was thrown away by the Generals.

Burma is in the lower- most in the world’s corruption index 2007 recently revealed by TI. The Junta has already shown their real Evil image to the whole world.

I wish all the Burmese people should not forget the basic human values, such as love, sincerity, equality, truthfulness and also the courage to speak up what is not right for you, your family and your country.

Following is in Burmese text of an interview with Naw Ohn Hla with New Era Journal.

She is a Karen Lady, who has demonstrated extrordinary courage to the world in recent uprising in Burma. Currently she is under the movement restriction by the Junta and staying in a remote village. When she was asked whether she is afraid of being interviewed, she said” they have restricted my movement but not my mouth. “

Movie Recommendation “The Great Raid”

soldiers.jpg

The Blogger has watched the movie, “The Great Raid”recently.
This Movie was based on the true story of WW II Americans POWs who were left behind in the Philippines during the Japanese invasion. The daring rescue raid was launched to save those who were under the Japanese brutality in the Military camp at the end of Second WW , is good inspiration for the Freedom of Burma . I would like to recommend this movie if you are the person who love to see the Justice prevails.

My favourite quote after the successful rescue mission was ” Even though you were left behind, you were never forgotten” said by the Young Captain who led the mission.

From director John Dahl comes the stirring true story of one of the most spectacular rescue missions ever to take place in American history: “the great raid on Cabanatuan,” the daring exploit that would liberate more than 500 U.S. Prisoners of War in the face of overwhelming odds. A gripping depiction of human resilience, the film vividly brings to life the personal courage and audacious heroism that allowed a small but stoic band of World War II soldiers to attempt the impossible in the hopes of freeing their captured brothers.

Once a tale shared across the United States, the long-lost story of THE GREAT RAID has been recreated with meticulous authenticity to pay testimony to the many different people, from U.S. commanders to Filipino soldiers to women aid workers to the POWs themselves, who played a part in turning this time of intense hardship and unrelenting danger into a moment of inspiration.

Gambari happy with Junta. Revered Monk U Gmabira and, Su Su Nwe arrested

susunwe.jpg

The UN special envoy to Myanmar has given the Security Council an upbeat report on his recent trip to the military-ruled country.

Ibrahim Gambari said on Tuesday the situation in the country was “qualitatively different” from a few weeks ago and he believed the government could respond to international pressure for democratic reforms.

On the same day he gave his positive report, however, activist Su Su Nway was arrested in Yangon, Myanmar’s biggest city, after being on the run since the army crushed protests in September, an opposition source said.

“She was arrested this afternoon while she was trying to put some anti-government pamphlets in place,” the source, who did not wish to be identified, told AFP.

Su Su Nway, 35, had been in hiding since leading a protest in Yangon in late August over government demonstrations since 1988.

Myanmar security forces have arrested another prominent anti-government activists – a Buddhist monk Revered U Gambira, fellow dissidents said Tuesday.

U Gambira, a Buddhist monk who helped lead demonstrations in Yangon that were crushed by the military junta, was arrested several days ago, exiled Myanmar dissidents in Thailand said.

The United States and other Western countries deplored the arrests during a U.N. Security Council meeting, saying they raised doubts about the ruling junta’s sincerity in moving toward democracy and cooperating with the United Nations.

So, Mr Gambari ( U Kyauk Yu Pyan) why are you are so optimistic about Bumese Genrerals? I am a cautious pessimist when it comes to the Burmese Generals who never keep their promise in their history.

AUNG SAN SU KYI UNWELL. Overseas Group accused she was poisoned!

Updated 9/01/2008

The news, accusing that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been poisoned through the water she drinks, has been circulating in this blogosphere for few days. However, this type of news are very difficult to be independently confirmed.

After watching at Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, what this blogger can safely say is “She is at Risk”.

The Following is the old post, posted on 7.11.2007

stand_up_for_burma.jpgaunty-su.jpg

Burma’s detained opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, was visited twice by a doctor at the weekend in an unusual break from the regime-ordained routine, which allows her only two medical calls a month.

According to Irrawady news,Nyan Win, spokesman of her National League for Democracy, said it wasn’t known why Suu Kyi needed medical treatment, but he had been told she was now better.

“Her heath is important not only for herself but also for the country,” he said.

However, a group of Monks studying in Sri Lanka issued a statement that Daw Aug Su Kyi has been given poison by the Junta, that makes her ill.

The blogger can not confirm that accusations. But recently Russian spies successfully assasinated a vocal critic in UK by giving radioactive substance. Also one of the liberated, Ex USSR empire PMs, was given same kind of poison. However he survived. Burmese Junta might have some good formula from their counterpart in Russia.

Jade warehouses to be ready for sale. Junta’s way of making money!

jade-for-the-sales.gif

Source Myanmar Times

TWO jade warehouses out of nine being built in Yangon to accommodate miners from upper Myanmar will be ready for the Myanma Gem Enterprise’s mid-year emporium next month, an engineer with the YCDC said.An MGE official last week said new accommodation for foreign gem and jade merchants was also planned, including a hotel to be built near the Myanmar Convention Centre – where the MGE holds its sales – by Ruby Dragon Co., Ltd, which operates several jade and gem mines in upper Myanma

This is a very simple example of how Generals make money.  While majority of public has no access to regular electricity, unable to go to work as they can not afford the bus fare, the Generals and their proxies are using the private jets and helicopters ordering Pitzas and KfC from neighbouring countries, using their own home delivery service.

When the General catch a cold they get treatment not in Burma but in a neighbouring country. Generals  wives can go for shopping in the tax free shopping haven countries, and Children of them can go back home every weekend from overseas.

Politics of Burma in near future will be more dynamic in  favour of oppressed people of the Burma as enormous injustice has been done done by the Junta . Their evil deeds will push them towards their destiny: The Hell!

Greetings dear comrade. This is such a wonderful site, just like what they say about meals, a wholesome site ) The Burmese Diasporas could keep fighting this illegitimate government made up of military dogs (I am in no way insulting the dogs, SPCA pls take note) if only we have a united front and take action. These bastards will one day face justice, but the golden question for our golden motherland is, When? It’s a question I ask myself. Freedom , justice and liberty lose out by default because good people do nothing, they just keep quiet and hope for things to change while keep on living in their wonderful life, fear of doing anything coz this act of defiance could alter their ease in life. Lets all work together, I need you, we need each other, after all, we are just mere davids against goliath. There come a time in life where we must choose between two evils for us to survive, a violent over thrown of the regime or just keep quiet and let evil flourish, while thousands of more lives parish without a trace. Take the lesser of two evils, which is to overthrow the scum of earth. Plz keep up the struggle, your blog is like a medicine to my burning heart. Thanx. Audentis fortuna iuvat!

Par Par Lay’s famous joke.

parparlay.jpg

Pa Pa Lay’s, most famous joke is as follows

” Pa Pa Lay ( The Comedian) went to India for the Dental treatment.

Indian Dental Surgeon was quite surprised as Pa Pa Lay came all the way from Burma to India, just for a simple Dental treatment. Then he asked ” Don’t you have Dental Surgeons in Burma?”

Pa Pa Lay replied ” Yes Sir, but they were unable to work as Burmese people are ordered not to open their mouth by the Military Government of Burma”

This is the one of the famous jokes of the comedian U Pa Pa Lay. He was released from the Oh Boe Jail of Manadalay at 9:00 pm, 29.10.2007.
