Read the Classic Poem of the Great Burmese Poet.

pyinma_mtw_b.jpg

The Pyinma* Stump
(Pyinma Ngote Toh)

Gnarled, grotesque and vulture like
Old Pyinma stump assumes an ugly sight
It stands alone on the mound height.

Its branching point has an old hole
Scab around it has hardened and old
It was eaten by white ants galore.

Near the mound bank the soil is parched
A soldier’s helmet and a dry cloth dummy perched
It points to a military camp.

This old Pyinma stump
Has endured wars and white ants
Suffered sword-cuts and sun-burns
Storms could not turn it bowed
When summer comes along…
Old leaves fall down for new leaves
It assumes a new look in the breeze
Wow! Thou art a hero to me.

* Pyinma is a big tropical tree like an oak tree in Europe.

Just want to share with the Burmese Readers. This  great poem , used to be recited by all of us, once upon a time in Burma.

Sayagyi Minthuwun who was a Great Burmese poet and National Literature Laurette’s Classic works were banned by the Military Junta for his involvement in the National Politics of Burma, even after his death.

R Zarnie created havoc in Mai Sauk?

(DVB Report of R Zarnie stage show)

This blogger has received information regarding the R Zarnie stage show from two different sources. According to DVB, the satge shows seemed to be uneventful, however the New Era Joural reported as follows. ( The blogger personally like R Zarnie’s powerful voice)

Burmese Singer R Zarnie has performed a live stage show recently, in Mai Sauk, Thailand. According to the New Era Journal, R Zarnie was late for his performance, which was initially scheduled to start at 7 pm. The live stage show actually started at 10 pm where 7000 odd Burmese workers gathered to support the famous Burmese Singer, had to wait for three hours.

Some of the workers were arrested by the Thai Police on the way back home as it was late. At least one worker was beaten by the Thai police during the performance.

After the show R Zanie refused to be interviewed by the press. He has told the press that he may be in trouble if he had granted the interview. He however said that those who were brave enough to follow with him to Myawaddy, ( Burmese Junta Territory) would be allowed to interview.

Poem “Man is”…by Generation Wave, Call for Democracy in Burma.

paper32.jpg

Man is…

Born to great sights

To immerse oneself in dignity

Chest puffed out, head thrust high in the air

Knowledge of freedom is empowering

Yet instead we succumb to servitude

Crouching and meekly folding our limbs, defeated.

Eyes cast downward, hearts in the mud

Dignity lost and unredeemed.

Man is…

created with a fierce need to oppose oppression

to welcome progress with embracing arms.

Why put ourselves through this travesty

to grind away at our very being

When dear comrades, it is much easier to stretch our legs and arms,

stand upright and join the glorious march for dignity and democracy?

Than Shwe of Burma is worse than Hitler and Saddam Huseein

saddam.jpghitler.jpgthan-shwe.jpg
People make comparisons between Burmese Junta King Than Shwe, Hitler and Saddam Husein.

Because of Hitler 50 million people has died during the second World War. However Hitler, even with perverted believe of forming Third Reich German, was at least has his own Ideology(even though it was obviously wrong) for the German People.

Saddam was a ruthless dictator, but undeniable pushed Iraq into one of the most advanced countries among the Arabs which was why Israel had pre emptive strike against Iraq nuclear facility several years before the Operation Desert Storm.

Both, Saddam and Hitler, will be remembered in history as Villains, however Than Shwe will be remembered as the number one most ruthless dictator in the history surpassing both of them.

The reasons are

1. Than Shwe and his soldiers has no ideology

2.Their ideology is for their survival

3. Their survival is for their wealth

4.Their wealth is for their families and their cronies

5. For their survival they were and they are willing to kill the monks, students, and innocent people of Burma.

6.For their survival they are afraid of ladies from Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to Daw Naw ohn Hla

7.They have done nothing good for the Country, created a society with fear corruption and immorality

Their Destruction

1. Burmese society’s value

2. Burmese Education System was once one of the Best in South East Asia is now the worse in the region.

3.The Health Care System is in Chaos ( Even the Junta Thugs harassed the activists Monks and ladies who were helping HIV/AIDS patients) epidemic of Malaria, TB, HIV/AIDS with very high Maternal Mortality and Infant Mortality Rate

4.The Transport, the new roads and Bridges were built but unable to use as majority can not afford for petrol

5.Economy, Moribund.

The Blogger feels that we should not compare Burmese King Than Shwe with Hitler and Saddam.

The Blogger’s thought

This blogger has not written any posts in the last few days. I have read my previous posts and analysed what I have been doing in last two months. The blogger reviewed my own posts. Some of my posts are even not satisfactory in my own opinion.

Up to date this blog was hit by 16831 readers. I have posted 129 posts from 29.09.2007 until today.I have receieved120 comments from the readers.

Why am I telling you this.? All the sane human being always look back what you have done in your life. Listen to the suggestion and advice of those who are sincere to you. Then with sincerity, and truthfulness proceed your life.

Why am I writing these blogs.? I just want the truth and freedom for the Burmese people.

Moral corruption is the worse enemy of the Burmese people. If Burma is liberated today, we need to work very hard to rectify the moral decay of our people for several years or even may be decades. This moral corruption among Burmese were started by Ex Dictator Ne Win. He has transformed the very normal society into the most corrupt society in a few decades.

Current Burmese society is the society in which big fish eat the small fish, small fish eat the shrimp, and the ordinary Burmese people are, not even the normal shrimp, they are reduced to the shrimp paste due to the continuous oppression of the Military Governments of Burma.

Subsequent successors Generals, while portraying as very religious people by showing up in the Monasteries almost every day, they have been putting enormous amount of money into their pockets by the corrupt practice.

The latest statistics showed of last year Burmese export as over five billion USD. Just imagine how many billions or millions were illegally taken by the Junta of Burma, its family members and their cronies.

The blogger feel sorry for those pro junta bolggers writing all nonsense in this blogosphere. They were trying to get a bite of the bone, which was thrown away by the Generals.

Burma is in the lower- most in the world’s corruption index 2007 recently revealed by TI. The Junta has already shown their real Evil image to the whole world.

I wish all the Burmese people should not forget the basic human values, such as love, sincerity, equality, truthfulness and also the courage to speak up what is not right for you, your family and your country.

Following is in Burmese text of an interview with Naw Ohn Hla with New Era Journal.

She is a Karen Lady, who has demonstrated extrordinary courage to the world in recent uprising in Burma. Currently she is under the movement restriction by the Junta and staying in a remote village. When she was asked whether she is afraid of being interviewed, she said” they have restricted my movement but not my mouth. “

The reasons why Burmese Junta King Than Shwe goes crazy.

UN Reminds the Junta of another revolution (DVB)

The first time this blogger searched about the unknown biography of Than Shwe, the blogger immediately found out that he had mental illness in his early Military Carrier. However, this blogger has failed to fix the missing parts of Jigsaw puzzle until the news of mental illness started circulating in the Internet.

It is widely accepted that Than Shwe has suffered from “stress” according to the Chinese authorites who visited him recently.

Internet blog of Moe Thee Zun reported recently citing the internal sources, Than Shwe became depressed after the collapse of the support of the Buddha’s Statue in his home. He became more nervous and anxious after witnessing the death of 28 Coconut Trees, which were planted as Yadayar to avoid the bad omen by the advice of His Sooth Sayers.

According to Irrawady news, excerpt of his ill health is as follows

“One source told The Irrawaddy that Than Shwe had been depressed by a report by the head of the United Nations Development Programme in Burma, Charles Petrie, who was expelled from Burma recently. The report highlighted the junta’s economic failures and mismanagement.

Rumors of Than Shwe’s ill health also circulated among Burmese living in Singapore, where members of the junta usually seek medical attention. Despite his reluctance to leave the country, for fear of a coup in his absence, Than Shwe traveled to Singapore in January this year for treatment at Singapore General Hospital.”

In Burma, the truth is, official news were always wrong and most of the rumors were almost always true. I have posted the Collapse of Tay Za’s business empire as a first sign of Junta’s defeat.

Are we going to see the knock out soon?

Movie Recommendation “The Great Raid”

soldiers.jpg

The Blogger has watched the movie, “The Great Raid”recently.
This Movie was based on the true story of WW II Americans POWs who were left behind in the Philippines during the Japanese invasion. The daring rescue raid was launched to save those who were under the Japanese brutality in the Military camp at the end of Second WW , is good inspiration for the Freedom of Burma . I would like to recommend this movie if you are the person who love to see the Justice prevails.

My favourite quote after the successful rescue mission was ” Even though you were left behind, you were never forgotten” said by the Young Captain who led the mission.

From director John Dahl comes the stirring true story of one of the most spectacular rescue missions ever to take place in American history: “the great raid on Cabanatuan,” the daring exploit that would liberate more than 500 U.S. Prisoners of War in the face of overwhelming odds. A gripping depiction of human resilience, the film vividly brings to life the personal courage and audacious heroism that allowed a small but stoic band of World War II soldiers to attempt the impossible in the hopes of freeing their captured brothers.

Once a tale shared across the United States, the long-lost story of THE GREAT RAID has been recreated with meticulous authenticity to pay testimony to the many different people, from U.S. commanders to Filipino soldiers to women aid workers to the POWs themselves, who played a part in turning this time of intense hardship and unrelenting danger into a moment of inspiration.

Burmese Actor Kyaw Thu’s daughter wedding banned by Military censorship.

kyaw-thu-zarganar.jpg

Mizzima news reported activist actor Kyaw Thu’s daughter’s wedding advertisment was childishly banned in Junta controlled newspapers in Military Ruled Burma.

Original Full text news( Mizzima)

http://mizzima.com/MizzimaNews/News/2007/Dec/12,%20Dec,%202007.html

news from Mizzima is as follows,

Mizzima News – In a blatant act of vindictiveness, a wedding advertisement for prominent movie actor Kyaw Thu’s daughter has been banned by the Burmese military junta’s censorship board, allegedly for the actor’s involvement in the monk-led protests in September.

The censorship board has stopped the inclusion of the wedding advertisement of actor Kyaw Thu’s only daughter Myint Mo Oo in any of the newspapers in Burma. Myint Mo Oo, who is living in Australia, will wed Kyaw Ko Ko in Sydney on December 16, 2007.

“As for me I have been banned from all my work like acting or directing. And my name cannot be published in any of the journals or newspapers. Even to advertise my daughter’s wedding I cannot include my name,” actor Kyaw Thu told Mizzima.

During a rare press briefing held at Burma’s new jungle capital, Nay Pyi Taw, the Burmese Information Minister Brig. Gen Kyaw San described artists and litterateurs who participated in the September monk-led protests, as ‘those lacking patriotism’.

“I don’t understand what they [the junta] mean and I don’t know what they want to refer to,” Kyaw Thu said.

“We did not do it just because others were doing it. We all joined out of our own free will. Ko Thura [comedian Zargarnar] also joined on his own and I did the same. But since we had the same intention, we met and it comes out that Kyaw Thu and Zargarnar joined hands,” added the Burmese film academy award winning actor.

The Burmese actor along with several other artists, poets and litterateurs during the protests in September offered ‘Swan’, food offerings, to the protesting monks at Burma’s most revered Pagoda of Shwe Dagon .

Following the protests and the junta’s brutal crackdown, authorities arrested Kyaw Thu, Zargarnar and several other artists as well as politicians and activists. However, the junta later released Kyaw Thu and Zargarnar after detaining them for three weeks.

The junta, in its effort to punish the artists, has banned all works of artists who took part in the protests. More than 20 of Kyaw Thu’s films are currently banned from being released in theatres.

Similarly, comedian and actor Zargarnar is also banned from performing on stage while writer Than Myint Aung is barred from using her pseudonym and writing for newspapers.
