1.The Chinese Communist Government
So far this blogger refrained from criticizing China in Burmese politics. The blogger was genuinely hoping that the Chinese government would pay heed to the voice of Burmese people and the International community not to support the military Junta of Burma. Now it is obvious that the Chinese Government’s only interest is the continued exploitation of political chaos in military ruled Burma.
The Blogger used the word Chinese government because China is a communist country and Chinese people are not to be blamed for their government policy, as there is no voice or opinion of Chinese people in their country.
However Chinese authority should not forget that China has become a world economic giant and its Government has tried hard to polish the image of the Government, the Country and its people as an emerging World Super Power.
I am fully aware that Chinese leaders are no way equivalent to the Burmese Junta. However, from the Burmese Generals point of view, they think that they are the same type of people.
Chinese leaders are patriotic and they believe in their system. They are working hard for their own country, which is among one of the Great Empires of this earth.
However Burmese Generals are working very hard for their own survival and personal gain. They neither have ideology nor religion.
The late Burmese dictator Ne Win always spoke of himself as though he were on the same level as the Chinese Leader Mao Ze Tung. However Ne Win was the person who did not dare to attend the funeral of the Earl Louis Mountbattern of Burma ( he is famous for his courage in fighting on the WWII battlefield in Burma) because of his inferiority complex and ordered the plane to turn back half way from England, as he had no courage to face the real leaders of the world who had gathered in England for the state Funeral Ceremony.
Now, the current Burmese Generals are a thousand times inferior to Ne Win, however, they are still of the opinion that their leadership is on the same level of leadership as that of China.
If I were a Chinese leader, because of this fact alone, I would stop supporting the Junta to save my own pride and show the world that China and the Junta are different types of people.
Secondly, for the Geopolitical reason, I do not think that the subsequent democratically elected government of Burma will make a dumb decision that will affect China negatively in favour of the West as all the future leaders of Burma will be much more intelligent and educated than the current regime.
Another reason is, if the Military collapsed in Burma, the myth that “there will be disintegration of the Country, and that the country will become a second Yugoslavia” (the Generals’ propaganda and excuse to stay in the power) will be refuted. The new generation of the military leaders will continue to enforce the real soldier’s duty under the democratically elected government. Ethnic minorities are fed up with decades of civil wars, which the generals used to their advantage to hold the power indefinitely.
I am very sure Chinese leaders know very well about what I have mentioned in the previous paragraphs. They only pretend not to know, as they have a very good political think tank, advisors and well-informed intelligence and they might even have a contingency plan for what to do if there is a democratically elected Government in Burma.
So finally I have to conclude that the Chinese government wishes to exploit the current political chaotic condition of Burma for their gain, which is in material terms, like gas, petrol and natural resources.
But they ignore the importance of the prestige, legacy and pride of a big Nation. By supporting the Evil regime of Burma, their credibility and respect in the third world countries that are also the victims like Burma, will fall dramatically.
Finally, both, politically and ideologically, China will be the loser as communism is always associated with the oppressed and believe in revolution to topple the oppressor.
So are they really communists? Why they can’t support the oppressed according to their ideology? Or are they actually far worse than the imperialists?
Now it seems that the so-called imperialists countries like US, UK and European Countries are doing better than China for the liberation of Burma.
So, as an oppressed citizen of Burma, would I be wrong to address the Chinese Government as part of the Axis of Evil?
Who are the other Evils of the axis?
Let me tell all of you later!
