Burmese people say Iron Cross instead of No to Referendum

Historic Moment

According to May Nyein, a famous exile writer of Burma, people are saying “Iron Cross” as they are not allowed to say “No” to upcoming bullet guided referendum in the Military Ruled country.

Iron Cross is the most famous rock band in Burma. However, the real meaning of Iron Cross in Burmese people’s mind is as they are preparing for referendum on 10th May, all of them seems to make up their mind to vote NO” with iron cross, which Junta will find difficult to uncrossed later in history.

Burmese people under the rule of Military Junta, were not allowed to say No to referendum. People were not even allowed to wear T Shirt with the word No. Most of the supermarkets in Burma were busy recalling T shirts with NO word printed over them. The offense of saying No to referendum is punishable for 3 year Jail sentence.

While Junta Generals are busy erecting signboards to vote Yes all over the country, 50 million Burmese people who’s mouth were superglued, are saying that Junta will not get the simple NO votes, instead they will get “IRON CROSSED NO VOTES”from the people of world’s biggest jail.
