According to Moemakha News, Burmese in Japan were finally allowed to vote No , due to mediation and help of a Japanese Language Lecturer, an official from Amnesty International and Japanese Labor Groups.

Japanese mediators later said that they were helping Burmese Voters in Japan as Burmese Embassy in Japan was unable to arrange all Burmese to vote in time.They also apologize for scuffle between Japanese police and Burmese voters as misunderstanding . Japanese Police were informed by the Burmese Embassy Staff as protesters demonstrating and blocking the Embassy compound.

Finally telly of vote in Japan is No to referendum 224, Yes 6, and spoiled/rejected ballot 2.

There were photos in blogsphere of special arrangement for those who are holding green diplomatic passports to vote inside vans parked in front of Embassy.

Another person recounted , receiving call from Embassy at midnight to come and vote, citing the reason that his friend was holding a diplomatic passport. The voting in Embassy at mid night was videotaped, and they were invited for dinner by Embassy staffs probably to buy the Yes vote for a meal. However both of them voted No.
