A Burmese Blogger’s thought
Blogger’s Thought
This blogger is not interested in party politics or power politics. He became blogger only by chance after August September Saffron Revolution in Burma. Just like other Burmese, this blogger was shocked to see what was unfolding live on International TV News. That made him jumped into blogosphere.
On 29th of September 2007, this blogger started writing first post. There were several Burmese Bloggers who were blogging for non political topics joined in, and there was an atmosphere of friendship in blogosphere.
Unlike political bloggers of other countries, almost all Burmese Bloggers ( excluding pro Junta bloggers), are writing or blogging for the National Politics. That is against unjust and unlawful regime, that ruled Burma for several decades.
There are different opinion among Burmese bloggers, depending on age, education back ground, personal intersest, however almost all of them are tirelessly blogging for the Freedom of Burma.
This blog was hit by 100,000 readers in just nine months. This blogger has no reason to celebrate for blog hits as he was having deep sorrow for the victims of Cyclone Nargis . The readers were merely visiting this blog because they want to get more news and information that may not find in mainstream media. Cyclone Nargis and Saffron Uprising was the main factors that make international readers to look for alternative information.
Burmese bloggers are doing their job in spreading information among Burmese as well as International community to give alternative view point and opinion as most of the middle class computer literate young generation are residing out of the country.
Most of the overseas Burmese rely on Burmese blog to get information, from Mandalay Yadanabon fire to Cyclone Nargis information.
Blogosphere resembles a big city. There are people with different personalities, which reflect in their blogs. However, this blogger is pleasantly surprised to see so many Burmese bloggers who think clearly and demonstrate very impressive knowledge and understanding of both local and global political, social and economic dynamics started throwing new ideas and opinions in their blogs .
There were lively and interesting discussions and debates in some Burmese blogs. Burmese are everywhere, participants are so diverse, a Burmese housewife from California could be seen debating a Burmese professional from Africa. That shows that there are enormous pool of talented overseas Burmese, who were previously passive in politics started participating in National Politics.
All of them have one similar objective. That is everybody want to see the Free, Prosperous, Independent Burma. All of them want to see their people out of poverty, anxiety, depression and hardship.
War is something that we hate, and all of us want peace. However, on the way to peace sometimes you have to collide with the tragedy called War.
That is the reason, this blogger who is war hater, is still keep on blogging.
