We need radios..radios for Burmese
Please allow this blogger to continue with the Radio Campaign for “No Vote”. This blogger has already said that this referendum is going to be a sham. It was announced in unexpected time to make people caught in surprise. This blogger agrees with Lary Jagan, that it was an act of desperado by General Than Shwe to protect his power base before it is too late.
Lary Jagan wrote in Asia Times, On-line today as follows
The planned referendum and elections indicate Than Shwe’s new determination to press forward with the country’s so-called “roadmap to democracy”, which will ensure a continued role for the military in governance. “Than Shwe obviously now feels he is secure enough in his position … to push on with some measure of reform,” said the Myanmar academic Win Min. “His failing health may also have prompted him to move at this time, as he may fear that time is running out for him.”
Everything was planned for the survival of General Than Shwe, his family and cronies. Than Shwe health is deteriorating fast. He learned a good lesson of how his predecessor Ne Win had lost absolute power, when he was ailing with poor health.
The knee jerk response of General Than Shwe was visible with reappointment of General Kyaw Win as a head of Intelligence Training school with 500,000 kyat a month salary.
Whether Than Shwe is still smart or senile with Alzheimer is non issue for all of us. (Lary Jagan said that he may need a second cardiac operation soon in Singapore!)
The important point for all of us is how we should convey the message of either “No Vote” or “Vote No” to our people. Political leaders should come up with clear message to Burmese people as this referendum will be very important step for our future generation. It will legitimize authority of the Military Junta and will turn Burmese people into the slaves of Military forever if we are not united with one voice.
Well, we all know these facts, but how to make Burmese people aware of the unseen shadow of permanent Military Dictatorship for Burma is looming over them by the name of “referendum at gun point.” Some thinks that Burmese people know what to do.

Not enough with the daily struggle for food, and other basic needs, Burmese people are under tremendous pressure due to poor socioeconomic condition and corruption. Military Junta knows well how to effectively use the ” Fear” tactic to divide and rule among Burmese.
Comrades, from DVB, RFA, and all those who love to see “Free Burma”. Please continue your radio on air with the simple message that tells Burmese people what to do with this referendum. There should be only one voice for referendum among pro-democracy groups and that should be either “No Vote” or ” Vote No”.
Aljazeera, BBC and VOA, should add more slots for “No Vote” or ” Vote No”campaign on their program as soon as possible.
For this blogger, I can only plead the leaders to come up with the clear message for all of us. We would like to hear only one voice from you all “No Vote ” or” Vote No” ?

အေဴခခံဥပေဒမူဳကမ္းကို လူထုက အတည္မဴပႂရေသးေပမဲ့ စစ္အစိုးရ ႎိုင္ငံဴခားေရးဝန္႒ကီး ဦးဥာဏ္ဝင္း ကေတာ့ ႎိုင္ငံဴခားသားနဲႛအိမ္ေထာင္ကဵခဲ့တဲ့ ေဒၞေအာင္ဆန္းစုဳကည္ဟာ အေဴခခံ ဥပေဒအရ ေ႟ၾးေကာက္ပၾဲဝင္ခၾင့္မရႎိုင္ပၝဘူးလိုႛ ႓ပီးခဲ့တဲ့အပတ္က စင္ကာပူႎိုင္ငံမႀာ ေဴပာဳကားခဲ့ပၝတယ္။
